Building closed 10/1/2020

Good Evening,

This is Superintendent Tracie Bliven and this message is for all AACS families, faculty and staff.
I am calling to inform you that out of an abundance of caution for our students, faculty and staff our school building will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, October 1. This is being done as an extra precautionary measure in response to the increase in local positive cases. We will use this time as an opportunity to perform an additional deep clean of our building and buses.
Teachers will deliver instruction remotely during our building closure. Please note that closing our building is different than closing our school as instruction will still be delivered and student attendance is still mandatory. Students, please check in at the beginning of the school day for additional information from your principal and/or teacher(s) for the day.
There will be no sports practices tomorrow.
Faculty and staff: unless you have been notified by your supervisor directly, you are not to report to the school building.
We urge everyone to be vigilant in their hand washing, wearing of face covers, and maintaining social distance.
This closure applies to tomorrow, Thursday, October 1 only and in-person learning will resume on Friday, October 2nd. You will be notified if there are any changes in this schedule.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we keep our community safe and our students engaged in learning.
Stay well.
