New Students
- New students are required to provide a current physical exam and proof of all mandatory immunizations. If a physical is not provided to the school within 30 days of your child's first day, your child will be seen by the School Medical Director. Parents are notified of any abnormal findings. Only physicals completed by an NYS Licensed Practitioner will be accepted.
Health Exams
- Health Exam/Physical: New entrants and grades Pre-K, K, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 are required. However, yearly Health Exams/Physicals are strongly encouraged.

Immunization Requirements for School Attendance

As a reminder, immunization requirements for students must be met for school attendance. A student may not be permitted to attend school without proof of required immunizations. There is a 14-day grace period following the first day of school to provide documentation of required immunizations. For those students who are transferring from out-of-state or another country and can show a good faith effort to get the necessary evidence of immunization(s), there is a 30-day grace period.

Important Note to Families Regarding Religious Exemptions

On June 13, 2019, the New York State Legislature passed an amendment to public health law section 2164, eliminating the exemption from immunizations due to religious beliefs for school attendance. The new law is effective immediately. All families of previously exempt students will receive a letter with more details on what is now required.
