Principals Welcome

Welcome to Alfred-Almond Jr/Sr High School!

I am very excited to kick off my third year as principal in the school! I am always impressed at the growth and professionalism of our caring instructional staff in the building. They say that the best and brightest always demand the best and at our school, it goes both ways between teachers and students. 

At Alfred-Almond, we require stakeholders to follow the district’s mission statement and try to instill these expectations for our school:

1. Staff will challenge every student equally to improve their best academic self.
2. Students and staff will exhibit high character.
3. Students must have high expectations for themselves.
4. Students will leave the school to be a productive member of society.
5. Students leave with skills that will allow them to make the next step toward adulthood. 

This school year, as a building, we will continue to make improvements and adaptations to our local curriculum to ensure students receive the best instruction possible. Another exciting announcement for the 26-27 school year will have Alfred-Almond Introduce the Seal of Biliteracy credential which will be addressed to the student body on the first day of school. This additional diploma credential will keep A-A up to date with New York State expectations for high achieving students.
